About
Hi friends,
I’m Leon, a Canadian fourth-year medical student studying at the University of Ottawa.
For the past 15 years, music has played a significant role in my life, and I have enjoyed performing as an enthusiastic cellist in various community orchestras. Alongside my medical studies, I’ve cultivated a passion for cooking, recently experimenting with roasting whole chickens and preparing three-course meals for my friends. I also love exploring nature and am always on the lookout for stunning views. Additionally, I’ve developed a growing interest in traveling to new places, with my most recent adventure being a visit to the Grand Canyon.
Medicine is truly my passion. Currently, I’m fascinated by new methods of preventing, detecting, and treating bacterial and viral infections. I’m involved in and have published research revolving around biomaterials, bacteriophage, and hepatology.
I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate the intricacies of undergraduate and medical school, especially without proper guidance or mentorship. This blog was created to provide support and resources for students looking to improve their MCAT scores, gain valuable clinical experience, develop effective study strategies, and navigate a very complex journey to becoming a physician. My aim is to make your path a little easier and more enjoyable.
I’m sincerely cheering for all of you as you strive to become the doctors you dream of being! And remember, you’re not alone on this journey.
Leon ツ
